Ramses Scribe Rescheduled

Karen Essex' appearance on NBC's Today Show has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 9, at approximately 9:35 a.m. EDT. Essex is the screenwriter for James Cameron's production of Anne Rice's The Mummy or Ramses the Damned and author of the new novel Kleopatra. She will discuss her new novel, which is based on 10 years of research into the real Kleopatra. Essex' story, which will be released as two novels, one this August and one August 2002, has been purchased by Warner Bros. The studio envisions a Gladiator-type epic focusing on the early years of Kleopatra's reign and her relationship with Julius Caesar. Cameron hired Essex for Ramses because she knows the time period and lifestyle in extreme detail due to her work on Kleopatra. Click here for an excerpt of Essex' book.
