Now & Again at Sci Fi

The Sci Fi Channel has acquired the rebroadcast rights to the canceled series Now & Again from King World Distribution. The science fiction series about an average guy (played by John Goodman) who is saved from death and re-engineered into a superhuman special agent (played by Eric Close) was originally produced by Paramount TV and CBS for the latter's 1999-2000 television season. The series had 22 episodes and a loyal following, though ratings dropped off from its initial highs, due to its blend of drama, action, comedy, science fiction and romance. The series costarred Margaret Colin and Heather Matarazzo as the agent's wife and daughter who believe he is dead, and Dennis Haybert as the scientist monitoring the project.

Sci Fi will debut Now & Again on Monday, August 6, and air it at 9 p.m. EDT Mondays through Thursdays, followed by Earth: Final Conflict at 10 p.m. EDT.
