Timberlake Crows for O.Z.

'N Sync's Justin Timberlake is in final negotiations to appear as the scarecrow in Fox Broadcasting's hip-hop version of L. Frank Baum's novel The Wizard of Oz, which has been tentatively renamed The O.Z. Also negotiating to co-star are Little Richard as the Wizard and tap-dancer Savion Glover. John Leguizamo has been offered the role of the Wicked Warlock. In this version of the Oz story, Dorothy will
be a successful but lonely hip-hop musical producer in Los Angeles. After a massive earthquake, she and her sidekick Toto find themselves in a strange, wondrous land called the Big O.Z. Already cast are Queen Latifah as Glinda the Good Witch and Busta Rhymes as The Cowardly Lion. Shooting begins Aug. 25.
