Winick Joins Comic Books Fight AIDS

The New York Comic Book Museum and St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital present Comic Books Fight AIDS, a free event for World AIDS Day featuring comic book writer/artist Judd Winick. Activities run from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, 114th and Amsterdam Ave, New York. Winick first attracted attention on MTV's The Real World where he became friends with AIDS-infect housemate Pedro Zamora. Winick later created the graphic novel Pedro and Me about the experience. Winick will appear at 1:30 p.m. with his wife and Real World costar Dr. Pam Ling where they will read excerpts from the graphic novel. For the rest of the schedule and other information please visit the event's Web site.
